Jebel Ali Free Zone – Dubai (JAFZA)

Jebel Ali is area located next to “New Dubai” which is covers the new developments such as Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lake Towers. However, this area has gained large popularity from foreign sector as well as local sector due the free zone created in it. This zone / development is known as Jebel Ali Free Zone or JAFZA in short. The term JAFZA is an acronym for Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority. Emphasis on the term “Free Zone” which suggests that the laws being applied in Dubai and the UAE with relation to implementation of taxes and operating of business in the Emirate of Dubai will be entirely different from the businesses operating in JAFZA. The authority or governing body that manages the Jebel Ali is known as Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority.
